Lochlea Cask Strength Batch 1 is a single malt Scotch whisky produced by the young independent Lochlea distillery, located in the Lowlands .
Distilled in traditional copper stills, it is aged in a combination of first-fill bourbon casks (70%) and Oloroso sherry casks (30%), a marriage that gives it a beautiful aromatic richness and a balance between fruity, spicy and woody notes.
The first release in an annual limited-edition series, this whisky is bottled at its natural cask strength of 60.1% , without chill filtration or added coloring, to preserve the full intensity and authenticity of its character. This single malt reflects the expertise of this emerging Lowland distillery.
