Longueteau White 55

This version of Longueteau 's white rum is 55°, ideal for ti punches.

Distilled in the Savalle column, it comes from the red and blue cane grown on the estate.

Spring water from La Soufrière, the active volcano south of Basse-Terre, is used to slowly reduce this premium rum.

Nico's tasting notes

The nose opens with fresh, dry cane, full of spirit and light. The cane's bark is solid, and its fiber drips with fresh juice. In these first moments, we reach very high notes, lively and floral, peppery and almost mineral.

Aeration takes us deep into the fermenting cane juice. Full-bodied, slightly iodized notes flirt with olive tapenade. The rum then gains momentum and freshness, moving towards black radish and flowers.

The palate is intense and full-bodied, like the bite of a cane stick. The attack gives way to a little acidity, a touch of strawberry candy, which is quite surprising but rather greedy. The mid-palate is back to basics, with a peppery, lemony cane that naturally invites ti'punch.

The finish is relatively light, and the rum's power comes through in a slight floral bitterness.
