Mombasa Club is an English London Dry Gin inspired by the historic recipe of the famous Mombasa Club, founded in 1885 in the coastal city of Mombasa, then under British protectorate. This gin pays homage to the tradition of the first London Dry Gins exported to East Africa in the late 19th century.
Made in England, it is based on a quadruple-distilled neutral grain alcohol, in which a selection of botanicals are macerated before a traditional small-batch distillation. Its recipe notably combines juniper berries, angelica root, coriander seeds, cassia bark, cumin, and cloves .
The Mombasa Club thus follows in the tradition of London Dry Gin while retaining an identity linked to the spices and botanicals that characterized the historical recipes of this category.
