Mount Gay Port Cask is a molasses rum from the oldest distillery in the Caribbean. This is the first time Mount Gay has used Port casks in its production. Trudiann Branker, the company's new master blender, conceived and produced this small batch.
On the one hand, these are column rums aged for 5 years in Tawny port casks. On the other, alembic rums aged for 14 years in bourbon casks, with a final year in port casks. These rums are bottled at their natural brut de fût strength.
