Neisson Zetwal is a very old AOC Martinique agricultural rum from the Neisson distillery. This is the first edition dedicated to Polaris, a polar star located not far from the celestial North Pole.
It is a blend of rums distilled in 2000, 2005, 2012 and 2013. Neisson usually reserves these vintages for its Armada collection.
The bottle was designed by Sébastien Schalchli of the Le Secret Magnifique agency, and manufactured by the Vista Alegre crystal glassworks in Portugal.
The term "Zetwal", which means star in Creole, is a nod to the old navigational landmarks. Sailors used them when crossing the Atlantic to bring rum back to Europe.
It's also a tribute to the Neisson ship that adorns this decanter.
