Pisco is distilled from white wine. In Chile, one of the traditional grape varieties used to make pisco is Muscat, appreciated for its organoleptic properties.
Pisco Waqar is distilled from white wine made from 100% Muscat grown in the Tulahuén valley, at the foot of the Andes.
Distilled in copper stills, this pisco expresses fruity, floral flavors and a hint of licorice.
Its intense aromas make Pisco Waqar the ideal partner to awaken the bartender in you.
Nico's tasting notes
The nose offers subtle aromas of ripe grapes, followed by light notes of flowers and exotic fruit. A lovely, fresh eau-de-vie, with hints of pits, red fruit and lychee.
Aeration transforms this pisco into a veritable perfume, loaded with fruity spices such as Sichuan pepper. The red fruits become more specific, with raspberry and redcurrant coming to mind, while a little white-wine acidity, with hints of passion fruit, is added.
The palate is just as fruity and floral as the nose, with a hint of passion fruit acidity and Sichuan pepper. The texture is light, and the touch rather dry, with alcohol evaporating conspicuously on the palate.
The finish is a little peppery and vegetal, with floral flavors that linger on the palate for a good while.
"A pretty, fresh and colorful eau-de-vie, scented with tangy fruits and exotic pepper..."
