This Plantation Barbados 2014 rum comes from the West Indies Rum Distillery (WIRD) located in Barbados.
This cuvée is a 2023 selection from the Plantation single-cask collection.
This is a blend of rums distilled in 2014 from molasses in pot stills and column stills.
The rum spent 6 years in the tropics for initial aging in ex-bourbon oak barrels.
It was then aged in Cognac casks from Ferrand in southwestern France.
Under the impetus of cellar master Alexandre Gabriel, a 12-month maturing period was carried out in a Rivesaltes barrel.
Each bottle is numbered and has a barrel number which may vary.
