Plantation Australia Rum 2009 is a single cask from the 2022 collection. The rum comes from the Beenleigh distillery in Queensland, Australia.
It is the result of a long 12-day fermentation followed by pot still distillation.
Aging began in Queensland cellars in 2009 for 11 years in ex-bourbon casks. The cask was then sent to Europe, to Ferrand in France where the Plantation winery is located. Aging was extended for a further year in a Ferrand cognac cask, before a 4-month finish in a Palo Cortado Sherry cask.
Barrel and bottle numbers are indicated on the label. No sugar has been added to this cuvée.
