Plantation Rum Jamaica 2009-2022 Orange Cask Finish 53°: Description and customer reviews

Plantation Rum 2009 is a traditional molasses rum distilled in Jamaica by the Long Pond distillery. This cuvée is part of Plantation's 2022 collection named Single Casks.

The mark for this rum is VRW for Vale Royal Wedderburn. This light mark comes from the closed Vale Royal distillery.
The rum was produced in a pot still in 2009 from molasses fermented for a week.

The first part of the aging process was carried out in Jamaica in bourbon casks for 8 years. The rum was then transported to Château de Bonbonnet, where it was transferred to a Ferrand cognac barrel for a further 4 years.
A finish was applied to this cuvée over a period of 7 months. A cask from Spain containing Orange wine was chosen.
