Plantation Rum Long Pond ITP 2000 is a cuvée selected for the New Vibration catalog presented at Whisky Live Paris 2023.
This rum, distilled at Long Pond in 2000 in a pot still, bears the ITP mark. This acronym stands for Ive Trelawny Pot, meaning that the ester content is between 90 and 120 grams of esters per hectoliter of pure alcohol at the still outlet.
After an initial 17-year maturation in bourbon barrels in the tropics, the rum then traveled to France to arrive in the cellars of Château de Bonbonnet. There, it rested for 6 years in a Ferrand cognac barrel.
After ageing, this cuvée has an ester content of 304 g/hlap.
Each bottle of this single cask is numbered. Bottling was carried out without reduction or addition.
