Planteray Rum Fiji 2012 is a molasses rum produced in partnership with the Paradise Beverage Distillery. From the Oceana collection, which showcases vintage rums from island terroirs, this bottling benefits from 14 years of aging.
After fermentation, the rum is distilled in Fiji using the production methods of the partner distillery. Molasses, a raw material derived from sugarcane processing, forms the basis of this blend, which follows in the tradition of Pacific molasses rums.
The aging process begins in the tropical climate of Fiji, where the rum rests for 11 years in ex-bourbon barrels. It is then shipped to France to continue maturing for a further 3 years in oak barrels from Maison Ferrand .
