The Lovers Rum 43°: Description and customer reviews

The Lovers Rum is a Latino-style blend created by Argentine David Cordoba, Bacardi's former Brand Ambassador also known as Mr. Daiquiri.

The rums that make it up come from 5 different origins: Panama, Barbados, Guatemala, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.

There are no additives to disrupt this "ron", and in particular no sugar, which is particularly noteworthy for a traditional Spanish rum.

Nico's tasting notes

On the nose, floral and fruity notes make their entrance, gently and subtly. This light rum profile opens up gradually, delicately, and the fruit gains in maturity.

With aeration, the fruit gradually cooks into jam, its juices concentrating and caramelizing. A light scarf of vanilla wraps around them, always delicately.

The palate is very round and tasty from the outset, with a very gourmand profile that we hadn't necessarily suspected on the nose. Toasted, caramel-coated nuts occupy the palate with a concentrated, fatty texture, in the manner of a Barbados rum.

The finish is sweet and vanilla-like, with a mellow woodiness that occupies the palate.

"This light rum is a real delicacy, but it is also very consistent on the palate..."
