Tres Hombres Marie Galante Vieux is a rum produced from pure cane juice at Père Labat. This is the oldest distillery in Marie Galante, and one of the oldest in the world.
This old rum, distilled in 2017, was aged for 5 years in the tropics. It was then transported by sail to Europe in 2 old barrels. These previously held Moscatel and Pedro Ximenez. The Atlantic crossing on the Tres Hombres brigantine takes around 5 months and allows for regular brewing.
This cargo sailboat, which has been transporting goods between Western Europe and the Caribbean since 2009, completed its 14th round trip in 2022. With its 40-ton load capacity, it helps to reduce the carbon footprint of the goods transported.
