This rum from Panama was designed by Don Francisco Fernandez, also known as "Don Pancho", a figure in the history of Spanish-style rum.

Originally from Cuba, where he worked for Havana Club for 40 years, Don Francisco Fernandez continued his career as Maestro Ronero in Panama, in the Herrera region, where he transformed and modernized the Las Cabras distillery, surrounded by 600 hectares of sugarcane cultivation... Read more

This rum from Panama was designed by Don Francisco Fernandez, also known as "Don Pancho", a figure in the history of Spanish-style rum.

Originally from Cuba, where he worked for Havana Club for 40 years, Don Francisco Fernandez continued his career as Maestro Ronero in Panama, in the Herrera region, where he transformed and modernized the Las Cabras distillery, surrounded by 600 hectares of sugarcane cultivation.

The distillery boasts a copper column still that is a replica of the one used to produce Michters Whiskey (Pennsylvania) and Hirsch 16 & 20 Year Old (which was produced at Mitchers and still bottled years after the distillery closed). This is the only still of its type still in operation anywhere in the world. Read less
