Tasting notes from Thomas
The nose is full of caramelized barley, with hints of peanuts and a little chocolate. Vanilla, oats and sugar are also present, contributing to this round, easily accessible start. A few moments later, white fruits, bergamot, nutmeg and chamomile bring a little more lightness to the whole.
The palate is smooth and more focused on dried fruit aromas (walnuts, hazelnuts). Despite the liveliness, we also recognize some sweet white fruit. These are followed by spicy notes such as nutmeg and pepper, as well as a touch of caramel and cut grass. The amplitude isn't enormous, but it's enough to let you feel the various flavors.
The finish is lighter. It is cereal-like and fruity (pear, apple), continuing the spiciness perceived on the palate. A hint of nuts and cut herbs remain on the palate.

My husband loves this whisky and it's a good Japanese mid-range.
