Appleton Estate Hearts Collection 1984 is the fruit of a new collaboration between Luca Gargano and Joy Spence, following the great success of the 2020 editions.
This is a blend of Jamaican molasses rums made from 9 casks from a single "mark". It was during a blind tasting that Velier's boss and the distillery's master blender agreed on this exceptional selection. Appleton currently holds almost 200,000 casks in its cellars.
Distilled in an iron still in 1984, this rum was then aged for 37 years on site, in American oak barrels. It boasts an exceptional 2197 grams of volatile compounds per hectoliter of pure alcohol.
Only 1,800 bottles worldwide were bottled in 2021. Each bottle is numbered.
