Elements 8 Cacao is a rum infused with Criollo cocoa beans.
These Criollo beans are renowned for their many nutritional and aromatic virtues.
Criollo was the cocoa of the Mayas. Today, this variety is found in many Central American and Caribbean countries (including Saint Lucia, where this rum was distilled and produced), as well as in a few African countries (Cameroon).
However, it represents only 1% of global cocoa production. The tree is fragile and yields are low. This is the price to pay for top-quality cocoa.
This infused rum can be served chilled, or as the base of a cocktail.
