This "Série des Lumières" wooden box contains 4 liqueurs of 10 centilitres each.
With these new editions, Guillaume Ferroni had the idea of reviving spirits that were in vogue during the Age of Enlightenment, using recipes unearthed from old books:
- Ratafia de Marseille is based on a recipe dating back to 1823. It consists of red fruit macerated in a blend of red wine, alcohol and rum, with the addition of a few spices,
- Eau verte de Marseille is a liqueur made by maceration which, according to an 1830 recipe, contains rhubarb root, lemon zest, orange zest and peppermint,
- Vespetro is an Italian digestive made from angelica seeds, fennel, caraway, carrot, green anise and coriander, according to a 1772 recipe,
- finally, Élixir du Suédois by Toussaint Blaize is an intensely black herbal drink based on a 1769 recipe. Minty and camphorated, it is reminiscent of Italian Fernets.
