Equidem is an exceptional 14-year-old rum produced in Barbados by the Foursquare distillery. Produced through a masterful blend, this rum embodies the richness and complexity of great Caribbean rums. This is the 27th vintage in the ECS “Exceptional Cask Selection” series.
For this expression, the cellar master relied on a selection of ex-bourbon and ex-black muscat casks. This type of cask had never before been used in Foursquare blends and remains little known in the world of rum.
The blend is composed as follows:
- a 14-year-old rum aged in ex-bourbon barrels,
- a second rum aged for 5 years in ex-bourbon barrels, then refined for 9 years in old black muscat barrels.
This limited edition cuvée reflects the distillery's commitment to rums without additives or chill filtration.
