Owned by the family-run RL Seale Company, Doorly's Rum 3 ans White is a top-quality white rum.
After column distillation from molasses drawn from the island's fertile soil, the rum is aged for 3 years in oak barrels. It is then filtered with charcoal to restore its transparent color.
The aromatic richness of this rum makes it the perfect ingredient for a prestigious cocktail.
Tasting notes
On the nose, Doorly's Rum 3 ans White Barbade has a pastry character, with notes of marzipan and puff pastry just out of the oven.
On the palate, the rum is supple and fruity, marked in particular by green apple.
The finish is just as delicious as the nose, with an aroma of cream.
romain
Right from the nose, you know you're not dealing with a pure cane juice rum. In fact, the sugarcane is discreet. This rum has more of a floral theme. Doorly's 3 ans has a rough nose. It smells of alcohol. A touch of disinfectant alcohol.
On the palate, it's more seductive. This Barbados nectar feels like liquid sugar on the palate. Fruits also appear (apple, banana). A fairly round rum on the palate, which makes it very pleasant. Very easy to drink. No alcoholic aggression to report. No warm finish.
The finish is quite short.
This is a sweet white rum that will delight those looking for a cocktail rum without a warm finish or spicy notes. However, this rum may disappear in a cocktail due to its lack of intensity.
Try a Ti punch with lemon and cane sugar to enhance the fruity side of this rum.
