La Digue 2022 is an AOC Martinique agricultural rum produced by the La Favorite distillery. It is one of the last two family distilleries on the island.
This rum is made from a single-plant, single-varietal selection (reed cane - B59.92). The canes are cut by hand, then crushed by mills powered by a steam engine dating back to 1906.
Distillation took place in May 2022 in a copper Creole column. The rum was then stirred and reduced for many months in stainless steel tanks.
Bottling took place in February 2023 and produced no fewer than 7,800 units.
