This bottling of Frères de la Côte's La Favorite rum is the first in the Tres Hombres 2023 rotation.
Selected and casked in February 2023, this white rum comes from the 2022 harvest. Tonnellerie Navarre's barrels have previously contained Marsala. This is a fortified Sicilian wine with sweet almond notes.
The casks were then shipped to France on the famous motorless sailing ship Tres Hombres.
The voyage allowed for dynamic brewing of the casks during the 4 months at sea. This gourmet, committed selection was bottled in September 2023 at 54.7% after a 3-month rest.
This selection resulted in 1,900 numbered copies. A 5cl mignonette of the 55° white rum taken in Martinique before casking accompanies the bottle. You'll be able to see for yourself the influence of dynamic maturation at sea.
