Onna Joshu 3 Ans Koshu is a traditional sake produced by Iwamura in the town of the same name in Gifu prefecture.
The brand name "Onna Joshu" - which means "The Chatelaine" - pays tribute to the history of the town of Iwamura, and in particular to Otsuya no kata. This woman is depicted on the bottle.
Founded in 1797 by the Watarai family, La Maison Iwamura produces a sake faithful to its terroir. The water comes from the Kiso River in the Gifu region, and the "Hida no homare" rice is produced exclusively in the same region.
This Onna Joshu brand sake is aged for 3 years.
