Paranubes añejo ex-tequila pure cane juice rum comes from the Oaxaca region. It is produced in the town of Huautepec in southern Mexico.
As with Paranubes anejo, the cane varieties are as follows: Tipico, Dura, Negra and Criollo.
The cane is pressed and the juice fermented in pine vats with wild yeasts. Master distiller Jose Luis Carrera uses a 6-tray copper column for distillation.
This aguardiente de cana is then aged in ex-tequila American oak barrels before bottling.
