Plantation Rum Hampden HJF 2008 is a Jamaican molasses rum from the renowned Hampden Estate distillery. It is an exclusive selection for the New Vibration catalog presented at Whisky Live Paris 2023.
Distilled in 2008 in a double retort pot still after long fermentation, this rum was marked HJF after distillation.
The rum was first aged in ex-bourbon casks, directly in the tropics. After 10 years, the cask was shipped to Europe, to the Ferrand winery at Château de Bonbonnet.
Once the rum had been transferred to a barrel that had previously contained Ferrand cognac, ageing continued for a further 5 years.
The wine was bottled without any additions or reductions.
