Planteray Rum Barbados 2022 High Ester French Exclusive is the little brother of Planteray Rum 2022 Barbados High Ester WLP 2024 Foundations released at the end of 2024.
Selected exclusively for the French market, this high-ester rum from Barbados comes from Stade's West Indies Rum Distillery. It also comes from the 2022 vintage.
Unlike the previous vintage, this rum was aged for 1 year in bourbon barrels and then 2 years in cognac barrels. The rum is produced using the same process, namely a 2-week fermentation of the molasses followed by a double distillation in a pot still.
The rate of volatile substances is 1315 g/hlap of which 695 g/hlap are esters.
