Rest & Be Thankful 1999 Monymusk MPG is a Jamaican molasses rum produced at the Clarendon distillery.
This rum was distilled in 1999 and put into a bourbon barrel on May 6 of the same year.
The mark is MPG. It belongs to the Light Pot (Common Clean) category, with esters per hectoliter of pure alcohol ranging from 110 to 125 g. Here we're talking precisely 118.6 g/hlap of esters and 732.5 g/hlap of volatile substances.
The single cask presented here is number 7542. It benefited from an initial tropical ageing before continuing its maturation in Scotland.
The angels' share is rather impressive, at over 62%, which enabled only 136 bottles to be made.
