The Monymusk distillery, also known as Clarendon, is located in southern Jamaica.

Thanks to its aromatic qualities, this rum is often used to spice up blends. It is also sometimes marketed as is by independent bottlers. It can even be used to create perfumes...

Monymusk produces heavy rums: thanks to long fermentation (up to a month) and pot still distillation, the ester content (aromatic molecules) of the rums ranges from 600 to 1500.

The distillery also produces light rums, around 200 esters: 24-hour fermentation and column distillation.

It wasn't until 2012 that the distillery launched its own brand, simply named "Monymusk". Read less
