Rest & Be Thankful bottled this 23-year-old rum from Monymusk, Jamaica.
This rum was distilled from molasses in an iron still at the Clarendon Estate distillery.
It was aged in November 1998 in an old bourbon cask. It underwent tropical and then continental ageing to reach a total of 23 years.
The MBK mark means that this is a light rum. The rum contains 541.5 g/hlap of volatile substances and 61 g/hlap of esters.
This cask, number 27854, has undergone an angels' share of over 36%. This resulted in 205 bottles. Bottling took place on September 5, 2022 in Scotland. This cuvée is non chill-filtered, without colorants and brut de fût.
