This Rest & Be Thankful Long Pond 24 year old rum comes from a single cask and is bottled without reduction. It comes from Jamaica's Long Pond distillery.
Distilled in 1998 from molasses, it bears the ITP mark, which gives a number of guidelines for distillation. In particular, the target ester content at the alembic outlet must be between 90 and 120 grams per hectoliter of pure alcohol.
For this rum, volatile substances are 739.5 g/hlap with 85.3 g/hlap esters.
The 24 years of aging took place in the #1757 American oak barrel.
On February 6, 2023, the bottling date, 150 bottles were released, unfiltered and unadulterated.
