This rum comes from the Monymusk distillery, also known as Clarendon Estate, located in Jamaica.
Resulting from the 1998 distillation campaign, it bears the MMW mark for Monymusk Wedderburn. This means that it was distilled in pot stills, but also that the target level of esters leaving the still is between 200 and 300 g/hlap.
In the end, this rum contains 795.3 g/hlap of congeners, including 224.2 g/hlap of esters.
This rum was aged for just over 24 years in American oak barrels. Initially, aging took place in the tropical climate of Jamaica. It continued in Scotland until bottling.
Cask #13320 produced 105 bottles of an unreduced, non-chill-filtered rum with no additions.
