This Ti'Spicy is the product of a maceration of no less than 10 different ingredients. The rum used for this preparation is AOC agricultural rum from Martinique, aged in Sauternes barrels.
Laurent's tasting notes
Its color is a beautiful warm gold.
What a gourmet nose! Of course, the profile is spicy and relatively mild. But it also offers freshness, with notes of citrus as well as lively spices. It's like a gingerbread with candied fruit boosted by amphetamines. What's more, the alcohol is not under-dosed, accentuating the impression of liveliness and balance with spice and sweetness.
On the palate, this balance is created, as the nose might suggest. The impression of candied fruit cake is replaced by a spicier, peppier profile (yes, it does sting a little?). The sugar is there, of course, but not in excess, unlike - and so much the better - some spiced rums.
The finish is long. As the seconds and minutes tick by, the hitherto impeccable balance tends to diminish in favor of a clean, frank clove.
"Perhaps the best spiced rum I've ever tasted. It must have taken some testing to achieve this result!"
