Rhum Attitude hosts a new evening at Maria Loca Paris, on Monday March 27 from 7pm.
You'll be able to taste a choice of 3 rums for just 10 euros, with Nico and Olivier on hand to help you!
Although rum is often associated with the Caribbean, rums from the Indian Ocean (and particularly those from Mauritius and Reunion Island) are also gaining in recognition. Over the past 10 years, the quality of these rums has developed at a rapid pace, and some of them can now rival rums from Martinique, Jamaica and Barbados.
Mauritius is on the program:
Young distilleries will be in the spotlight with Chamarel VSOP, Labourdonnais XO and single cask agricoles (just to compare them), and Fusion Lemongrass-infused rum.
Traditional rums will also be present, with Penny Blue and New Grove 8 ans (we'll be featuring the latter in our next Rhum Box).
Reunion Island:
Rivière du Mât Brut de Chais
Savanna Chais humide, a surprisingly aromatic rum
And also :
Issan Rum ???????, the white rum from Thailand
An amber blend created by Guillaume Ferroni, containing no less than 3 rums from Mauritius alongside a Trinidad and a Guyana, then matured for 6 months in a Rasteau cask. A real success! (Rhum Box coming soon)
