Abuelo Three Angels is a 12-year-old Panamanian rum that has benefited from double maturation to enrich its aromatic palette.
This cuvée is designed like Abuelo 12 años Two Oaks, but with a difference.
It is also a blend of rums aged in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. Like "Two Oaks", it has also benefited from maturation in charred oak casks that have undergone extreme toasting.
However, the latter barrels were specially stored at the very top of the cellar, just under the roof, while the "Two Oaks" was a blend of barrels from different parts of the cellar.
At the top of the cellar, the temperature peaks at 35°C and the angel's share reaches 15% per year. It is from this share of record angels that this vintage takes its name “Three Angels”.
