This white rum from the young Ampov distillery comes from Cabmbodia. It is the first rum made from pure Cambodian cane juice.
Sugar cane is harvested no more than 30 minutes from Phnom Penh. The distillery staff then press and ferment the cane juice for 4 to 5 days.
The cane wine is then distilled in a copper pot still.
On leaving the pot still, the brandy has an alcohol content of around 72°. It is then slowly reduced to 42° before bottling.
