This pure cane juice rum comes from the small traditional distillery on Marie-Galante, where it has been aged in barrels for several months.
Nico's tasting notes
The first nose of this young rhum agricole is gourmand and mellow, with a slightly brioche-like cane and velvety vegetal notes. Despite a sensation of raw, freshly cut wood, the bagasse remains very round, like a fat, moist straw. This is a white rum just perfumed by aromatic wood. The pepper is mellow and silky.
With aeration, the profile is clearly more agricultural. On the other hand, the wood is even more aromatic, mellow and mellow. The pepper is well integrated, simple and classic but deliciously rounded. The aromas are sustained, enriched by licorice and fruity cane.
On the palate, the wood is tasty and firmly in place. Pepper meets citrus, then both move towards cane, for a resolutely agricultural profile. The rum is greedy but not necessarily round, a lovely pure cane juice just underlined by a rather youthful woodiness.
The finish is calm, with a touch of alcohol and flowers, finishing with licorice and pepper.
"Amber rums often reserve pleasant surprises, and when the starting white comes from Bielle it can only go well..."

A real delight. Ideal for rhum arrangés.
