Located in the heart of the small West Indian island of Marie-Galante, the Bielle distillery was created in the 19th century in place of a former sugar factory.

Located in the heart of the small West Indian island of Marie-Galante, the Bielle distillery was created in the 19th century in place of a former sugar factory.

Founded by the eponymous family, it later passed through the hands of different families and is now owned by Paul Rameaux.
Perpetuating the age-old traditions of the Caribbean, the small company produces agricultural rum and liqueurs.  

The distillery benefits fully from the sunny climate of the West Indies for the sugar concentration of its cane and for the maturation of the vintages. Today, it uses the phytomediation technique to reduce the environmental impact of the treatment of vinasses (water purification by natural ecosystems). Read less
