A fine illustration of Costa Rica's natural wealth, Centenario 20 ans is an aged rum using the solera method, first in American oak barrels that once contained bourbon, then in sherry casks.
It is a particularly smooth rum.
Laurent's tasting notes
Its color is a deep amber.
On the nose, we typically find the aromas of a traditional Spanish or Ron rum. Caramel and vanilla play duets. A slight woodiness completes its gourmet profile.
On the palate, it's soft and even sweet. Caramel leads the way, with vanilla following in its wake. The wood is a little more present than on the nose, and hints of coffee appear.
The finish is again a combination of caramel and vanilla.

Just the best rum of the many I've tried in the serious rhumattitude boutique! And an acceptable price given the exceptional quality. The 30 ans d'âge is also perfect, but a little overpriced!

I didn't receive it as shown in the photo, but in a basic bottle with a label. It was a gift for someone who collects rum, which is a shame.

A smooth, pleasant rum, with fine caramel and vanilla aromas. Highly recommended!

A rum from Costa Rica (perhaps even the only brand from this country), too little known and widespread in my opinion. What a shame! The 25-year-old is even better.

I was not familiar with it and followed the tasting notes. I was not disappointed. I love Spanish rums and this one is really among the best in my opinion.
