"Vive le cornichon" is a limited edition of Citadelle Gin. The original recipe for this French gin serves as a base to which gherkins are added during production.
The idea follows on from the previous limited edition, which sold out in a matter of days. Alexandre Gabriel and his team wanted to pay tribute to the gherkin. The gherkin in question is not a simple vegetable, but comes from Maison Marc, a well-known name in the world of gastronomy and among lovers of French terroir. This family-run business grows its Cucumis sativus without insecticides, herbicides or preservatives. They are harvested by hand in Burgundy.
