This preparation, made in Mauritius, allows you to make your own rhum arrangé. It is made from cinnamon leaves, cinnamon sticks, star anise, orange zest, lemongrass and vanilla.
You'll need white rum (from Mauritius or Reunion, or an agricole from Martinique or Guadeloupe), sugar or cane syrup, and patience, as the rum needs to macerate for at least a month.
This preparation makes between 1 and 2 liters of rhum arrangé, and should be stored in a dry place.
During maceration, the mixture should not be exposed to light.
