This 7-year-old Jamaican molasses rum bottled by Habitation Velier comes from the house of Hampden.
From the 2016 vintage, it has an ester content of between 40 and 80 grams per hectoliter of pure alcohol. This is the OWH mark for "Outram Wormald Hussey", the lowest ester content of the distillery's rums.
A double-twisted pot still was used for distillation. The congenic content is 966.4 g/hlap.
Aging is entirely tropical, and takes place in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. This explains why the proportion of angels is around 42%.
The wine was bottled in 2023 without any additions or reductions.
