Labourdonnais Fusion Orange is an agricultural rum produced by the Labourdonnais distillery in Mauritius. Oranges grown on the estate are macerated in this pure cane juice rum.
Laurent's tasting notes
Its color is amber-orange.
On the nose, a juicy, gourmand orange clearly dominates. The sweetness gives the impression of a liquid orangette in the glass. There's also a discreet hint of vanilla.
On the palate, too, the orange is the main, if not the only, player. There's even more of an orange impression, as the zest is present (and a rather pleasant bitterness). It's soft without being too sweet, and well balanced with the alcohol.
The finish is long, on, you guessed it, orange; bitterness remains.

Amber color.
On the nose, a sour orange. There's a hint of sweet spices (cinnamon and vanilla). Is it natural? No idea, but the aromas seem to border on natural orange.
A syrupy orange mouthfeel. It's not sickening. There's a little spice behind the orange. Pleasant.
The orange finale.
As with Labourdonnais Calamondin, this is a palatable shrubb on a par with shrubb from the French West Indies.
