In 2023, Rhums de Ced celebrates the 10th anniversary of its first arrangé aged in ex-Cognac casks, and thus of the iconic Vanilla Macadamia Nut recipe.
The Ti Ced workshop designed and produced a double aging process for its AOC Martinique agricultural rum. It spent 6 months in former Cognac casks, then 4 months in former Teeling Irish whiskey casks.
This rum is naturally combined with vanilla and Macadamia nuts.
Breton artist PMH created the collector's drawing that adorns the case and bottle.
Nico's tasting notes
On the nose , we discover a maturity and depth that we would not imagine finding in an arranged rum. The macadamia nut is extremely candied, just like the vanilla, however the rum manages to bring liveliness and freshness.
The taste is as soft as velvet, but we are pleasantly surprised not to find it too round or sweet. Once again, the rum brings this touch of liveliness which enlivens the whole and which allows us to enjoy these gently spicy flavors for a long time.
“I repeat myself according to my tasting notes, but definitely Les Rhums de Ced always manages to surprise me, and above all to seduce me…”
