Los Siete Misterios Barril is a mezcal joven made from a single variety of agave grown in Sola de Vega, in Mexico's Oaxaca region. The mezcalero behind this cuvée is Don David Calvo.
The variety used, known as maguey "Barril", is a member of the Karwinskii agave family. Its name comes from its strong resemblance to a barrel once its leaves have been cut.
This mezcal is distilled twice in traditional clay stills.
