New Grove 2005 Belle Vue is a molasses rum from Mauritius, produced by Gray's Distillery. It is a single estate rum, as all the molasses used to make the rum comes from the group's own sugar mill. This is a single estate rum, as all the molasses used to make the rum comes from the group's own sugar mill, which is located in the village of Belle Vue, to which the rum pays tribute.
After a column distillation in 2005, the rum was casked in French oak barrels from Limousin. After 15 years spent partly in new barrels, partly in ex-cognac barrels, it was bottled without any additives. It has been added to the New Grove savoir-faire collection, which has remained in the family since 1838.
