Nico's tasting notes
In brief: nuts - soft - sweet - caramel - vanilla - chocolate
The nose is bushy and thick, like a nut paste drizzled with maple syrup or molasses. The barrel wood seems extremely toasted, to the point of bringing out notes of charcoal and a sensation of minerality. It's this balance between fat and mineral that will soon neutralize and bring balance. The focus then shifts to a rather light rum, with caramel, vanilla and a few mild spices.
The attack on the palate is very round and greedy, with sweet vanilla caramel, then a caress of almond that would almost have the consistency of a tender nougat. Nuts play an important role on the palate. They are caramelized and almost covered with a chocolate coulis.
The finish remains sweet and delicious, with sweet coffee, caramel and chocolate.
"A very smooth rum, for those who wish to treat themselves to a little indulgence..."
Dolinski Zbigniew
My favorite, flavors, finesse, everything I expect from a rum.
