Pastis Henri Bardouin is a Grand Cru pastis whose balance comes from 65 plants and spices.
They are picked, macerated, distilled and then blended according to a complex recipe.
The recipe includes products from all over the world, such as :
- badian from southern China,
- Turkish licorice,
- the seeds of Paradise in the Great Lakes region,
- Tonka beans from Guyana,
- cardamom from the islands of the Indian Ocean...
Some ingredients are harvested by hand on the Montagne de Lure (Alpes de Haute Provence), notably thyme, rosemary, sage and mugwort.
This pastis is drunk as an aperitif, generally diluted at the rate of 6 parts pastis to 1 part fresh water.
