Prohibition Juniperus gin is a direct homage to the traditional London Dry Gin.
The word “gin” is derived from the Dutch term “jenever” which is translated into English as juniper. Jenever is a brandy flavored with juniper berries. This is typical of northern continental Europe as well as northern France.
Juniper is also the name for juniper in French. Without the berries that grow on this tree, gin could not exist.
Here the berries are distilled whole, crushed, macerated then steam infused to create a modern version of traditional gin.
