This rum from the Études collection celebrates the uniqueness of one of the terroirs of the island of Grenada.
Each expression in this collection is crafted from a single variety of sugarcane. These come from a single plot. The goal is to showcase a specific terroir and a single distillation method (column or pot still).
Located on the southern coast of Grenada, Old Bacolet Farm sits on one of the oldest agricultural lands established by French settlers. Situated on a fertile plain between two rivers, this area benefits from rich soil and a high water table. These conditions provide an ideal environment for growing sugarcane.
To produce this vintage, the distillery chose the Lodger sugarcane variety. It grows quickly. The canes come from the "Théo" plot. Nestled in the heart of the "Silk Cotton Tree" terroir, this unique terroir contributes to the aromatic signature of this exceptional rum.
This vintage is the first in the range to be distilled in a column. It is the result of a precise blend of rums aged in French and American oak barrels and then reduced to 55%.
Further information about this rum is available on the distillery's website. It can be accessed via the code on the bottle, “ET03H20-C1”.
