Renegade Pre-Cask Old Bacolet is a white rum made from pure cane juice from the island of Grenada. The Renegade distillery's watchword is terroir, and each farm, variety and plot of land is worked independently.
This rum comes from "Josh's Field", located on the Riverside terroir. The Cain cane (B77.602) is a fast-growing variety, harvested in 2020. Its juice was pressed and fermented, before being distilled in a double-twisted pot still. The Old Bacolet terroir lies on the south side, sheltered from the winds. The land is flat and flooded, between two small rivers. Its clay soil and high water table give rise to particularly lush canes.
